Job Searching on Workopolis.com
There are three different ways to start searching job postings: quick search (on the home page), browse by job function (Browse Jobs in the navigation bar at the top of the home page) or an Advanced Search (click on the link below the Find Jobs button).
The advanced search facility allows you to search by keyword, job title, company name, location, date posted, job type, career level, job function (you can select more than one job function), industry and language (i.e. was the job posted in English or French).
The first time you do a search, you get a pop-up that asks you if you want jobs that match your selection to be emailed to you - you just have to give your email address and name the job alert. If you don't want to create an alert, click on 'No thanks', which is next to the green Create Alert button.
To view a job you are interested in, simply click on the job listing. You can then apply by clicking on the Apply Now button. You'll then need to sign in if you've already joined Workopolis or you'll need to select 'Join Now' if you haven't.
Why Register With Workopolis.com?
As well as needing to register to apply for jobs, you can post your resume on their site, which will allow employers to find you. You can upload both resumes and cover letters, save job searches and create up to 30 email job alerts.

Workopolis claims to be Canada's most visited job site, with over 50,000 jobs advertised at any one time. The site was formed from a partnership of three Canadian media companies.

Advertisers can post nationally or target one of four regions - Western Canada, Ontario, Quebec or Atlantic Canada. Jobs are posted for 30 days, with different packages available for different quantities. A single standard job advertised nationally costs CA$595 plus taxes, while five jobs cost CA$2625 plus taxes.
As an advertiser, you can also use applicant tracking and candidate management tools. As with most job sites, you are also able to search resumes - access to their resume database costs CA$200 for 6 months and gives you 50 views.
Workopolis Scout provides you with additional assistance. For CA$745 they help you throughout the hiring process and guarantee you'll receive at least 5 qualified candidates who match your criteria.
