You can browse jobs in your geographical area, job sector, or desired role. If you browse by job sector, you can then select a particular specialist role in that field before adding other criteria, such as location, salary, sector, contract type or keywords. Or, you can undertake a more advanced search using all the criteria to start with. You can sort results by relevance or date advert posted. Total Jobs UK offers an extremely helpful feature when presenting search results: if no jobs are found within the area you specify (eg, 5 miles from your home town), it will offer results within the next radius (eg, 10 miles from your home town). Register with totajobs.com, and you can upload your CV so that it can be searched by employers, request email alerts when jobs matching your search criteria are added to the site, and track your job applications via your account page on the site. The Careers section also offers a range of articles relating to job hunting, CVs, applications, interviews, career directions, questionnaires, etc. Impressively, the site also offers a one-off free legal advice session covering employment law issues, such as grievances.
